Francois Sebastien Ory, at one time, owned 300 acres of farmland where Four Lakes Villages is now located in Lisle, IL.

Francois Sebastien Ory, 2nd great grandson of Francois Ory, knew where to go when he arrived in New York in 1844. He traveled to Lisle Township in Illinois where he immediately married Marie Josephine Dorr, who he knew in France.

 

He purchased farm property on the same day as he was wed. All but two of his ten offspring lived on to have families of their own. His family gravestone is at Ss. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Naperville, IL in the St. Joseph section.
